Introduction to Dance This fun class is designed to introduce students ages 10 to 13 to ballet and jazz dance. Learning some basic ballet and jazz skills will allow the students to experience each style of dance while improving their flexibility, sense of rhythm and overall coordination.
Dancing to Readiness (ages 3-6) Our Fairy Tale Ballet class combines fairy tales with movement, crafts and fun, while our Ballet/Tap Combo class is a great introduction for young dancers who want to learn the basic fundamentals of both ballet and tap, while enjoying their own free style and creative movement. The class introduces rhythm, tempo and musicality in tap while building on skills and foundations of ballet.
Ballet Our ballet program is designed to take the young dancer from the earliest steps to an advanced level of study. We stress a healthful, anatomical approach to teaching dance and our guided progression of classes helps to build and enhance the student's body and training.
Pre-Pointe and Pointe Strengthening exercises that prepare the dancer prior to dance on pointe. Enrollment based on a minimum number of ballet technique classes per week and teacher's recommendation.
Variations Students experience a variety of styles and genres, contemporary to classical.
Tap A great class for students who are musically inclined and love to make some noise. Emphasis is placed on basic rhythm, coordination and learning to make different sounds with all parts of the tap show while discovering the techniques of tap dancing.
Jazz is an upbeat style of dance that combines both sharp and fluid movements with strong technique. Core strengthening exercises, body isolations, floor work and jazz dance combinations are part of this class. These elements all come together to increase the dancer's rhythm and musicality.
Adult/Older Teen Ballet Even if your only ballet class was decades ago, come and enjoy the physical benefits of a ballet-based recreational dance class. Feel the joy of expressing yourself through this beautiful form of dance. Improve strength, flexibility and coordination. For all levels.
Adult Ballet Barre Workout This ballet-inspired workout combines small isolated movements with lots of repetitions to burn calories, sculpt muscles, strengthen your core and increase flexibility. No dance experience necessary.
Adult Jazz Funk This aerobic class combines jazz dance with funky hip-hop moves to create a dance fitness class that is available for all ages and fitness levels. You will be sure to have fun and break a sweat.
